You had a thesis, and topic sentences. in your"four main parts of writing" section though, two types of writing you didn't include was "writing for a classroom situation" and "Persuasive writing/essays" otherwise, I loved the post. Also, the numbers of how many people did_______ or whatever.
This is not related to your post, but I changed my blog name, to hard to write posts for the other one that I had before. my new blog name is
pinkribboneyes.blogspot
Charlotte :)Charlotte Van Houtenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10158245232840595349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690303059203601946.post-79402490745328687092011-03-11T19:47:56.421-08:002011-03-11T19:47:56.421-08:00You've done a really good job here! I particularly like how you've categorized the most common types of modern writing and you also make a good point about the public nature of much of our current communication (social networks, blogs, etc.) My only request would be to develop your conclusion a bit more. Use your conclusion to synthesize your most important points for your reader. Bring together the historical information and the commentary. Overall though, I'm quite impressed by your writing and look forward to more!PinonKnitterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14113895653080351359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690303059203601946.post-10971901555916171382011-03-02T23:30:34.119-08:002011-03-02T23:30:34.119-08:00Great post!! I loved the point you made that "We may not be William Shakespeare or Robert Frost, but we are writers nonetheless" and about how writing is an indispensable skill.

I think those points should also be made in the first paragraph-ish (so that the reader knows what you shall be proving to them)... but it's also so good how it starts with all the history... soooooo... I'm not sure. haha

GREAT organization... especially about the types of writing. Some other types could be essay writing (like Charlotte said) and writing in advertisements, brochures, and writing for film stuff.

Gooood job!StargirlMrazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01276547004849372468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690303059203601946.post-67348831116034570052011-03-02T20:29:45.279-08:002011-03-02T20:29:45.279-08:00this was definitely one of the best structured pos...this was definitely one of the best structured posts I've read the only thing I can point out like Mrs. holly said is the some what "weak" ending I loved all the historical facts and also think it was very important to mention that now not just scribes are writing every one's writing. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more posts in the future. The painterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12081019119498790673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690303059203601946.post-28849172457551254192011-02-27T21:21:39.175-08:002011-02-27T21:21:39.175-08:00Wow i loved how your post was very structured but ...Wow i loved how your post was very structured but still laid back (am i making sense?) sorry but i don't have to much criticism. this doesn't pertain to this post but in the future i would love to read more about you.

KyliHuck Healershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12306498816476804371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690303059203601946.post-83450191254339545032011-02-25T15:35:16.492-08:002011-02-25T15:35:16.492-08:00Thanks for your feedback. Such a book is best viewed on a device called an "e-reader"; Kindle is a popular e-reader made by Amazon.
You definitely have a point about the source font. If I provide source lists in later posts, I will probably use a larger font size for them.
As for Wikipedia's reliability, I couldn't agree with you more. Ordinarily I don't trust Wikipedia myself, so, for the most part, I have verified the facts I use in the post with other sources. I provided Wikipedia links simply to support my point about its size and ease of accessibility.Sporadic Bloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08216703068496493049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690303059203601946.post-11429010535353519232011-02-25T14:21:27.538-08:002011-02-25T14:21:27.538-08:00Your blog was very good but one thing that I notic...Your blog was very good but one thing that I noticed is that on your last paragraph you said, and I qoute, 'but then one thinks of e-books and Kindle' and I was wondering, what is the difference between an e-book and a Kindle? Just food for thought. Also you might want to make your sources a bigger font because I couldn't read them very well. Also you might want to look at more sites then just Wikipedia because some people don't trust Wikipedia because anybody can write on it like you said, which means that not all the information, probably, is not correct. Keep in mind that this is ONLY constructive critisim.weasleywitchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01679422016639303913noreply@blogger.com
